Iranian short ‘Emergency’ to go on screen in Japan

Iranian short film ‘Emergency’ is to go on screen at the 2021 Short Shorts Film Festival in Japan.

Iranian short film ‘Emergency’ has been selected to compete at the 2021 Short Shorts Film Festival in Japan.

Directed by Maryam Esmikhani, the short film narrates the story of a little girl who tries to get close to an emergency officer who is visiting her mother.

The girl tries to ask a question to make something that is annoying her clear.

The cast of the film includes Saeed Changizian, Nazanin Ramezani, Milad Mirzaee, and Elnaz Hassanpour.

Lunched in 1999, the Short Shorts Film Festival has provided an opportunity for filmmakers from around the world to showcase their works.

According to the official website of the festival “It is one of the largest international short film festival in Asia, and every year more than 10,000 works are gathered from all over the world.”

The 23rd edition of the festival is scheduled for June 11-21.
